Paediatric Preventative Dental Scheme
Our aim is for dentists to work with parents to promote good dental health for children who may need special dental care. Some children with special medical problems are at risk if their dental health is not good and we liaise with Health and Social Services when providing care for children with profound social issues. Some may not be able to cope with routine dental treatment and some are born needing complex dental care; as prevention is always better than cure.
